Alena was born in 1966 in Bessarabia. She started painting at the age of 10 and at this age she was already helping her father with theater decorations. In 1988 she graduated from Yaroslavl Art College. She attended a private art studio under the command of Yuri Burgheljan. Since 1984, Alena was working with different theaters, including puppet theaters, producing art decorations (theaters in Yaroslavl and Kishinev). From 1988-1989 she was working in a animation studio “Ecran” under A.Fedulov. She was also involved in making different national crafts. Since 1992, she had numerous personal and group art exhibitions and performances and she was also working with different art galleries in Moscow. Since 1994, she is a member of the international association of young artists and she is also a member of the international art foundation.
Since 1991 until 2012, Alena did numerous works for the Russian Orthodox Church (including the restoration of 17th century icons, painting new icons, frescos). Her work was blessed by the heads of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia, Italy and Canada. Her work is displayed in different churches and monasteries of Russia and Canada (including The Epiphany Cathedral at Yelokhovo, Moscow, Russia, and Church of the Dormition in Gonchary, Moscow, Russia, Holy Virgin Protection Convent, Bluffton, Alberta and others).
Her work is in the collections of art galleries in Ismail, Ukraine, Yaroslavl, Russia and is also in the private collections in England, France, Germany, Russia, Canada, Portugal, USA, Yugoslavia and Switzerland.
